Very early (3:00 a.m.) Thursday, residents of Point Venture can expect concrete trucks to begin moving into the Village. The projected time for the first set of trucks to arrive is 3:00 a.m. and will continue throughout the morning and possibly into the early afternoon in a staggered delivery. This is required to be a continuous pour at the new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). An estimated 25 trucks will be used to deliver concrete. Click for more information.
The Travis County WCID Point Venture, PWS ID TX2270038, has violated the monitoring and reporting requirements set by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in Title 30, Texas Administrative Code (30 TAC), Section 290, Subchapter F. The Travis County Water Control and Improvement District – Point Venture will hold a public hearing on a proposed tax rate for the tax year 2023 on September 28, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the WCID Office located at 18606 Venture Drive, Point Venture, Texas 78645. Your individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the tax rate that is adopted and on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property. The deadline to file an application for a place on the General Election ballot to serve on the Board of Directors for Travis County WCID - Point Venture is this coming Monday, August 22, 2022. Three positions are open for election on November 8, 2022.

Combined levels of lakes Buchanan and Travis have dropped below 1.4 million acre feet requiring the Travis County WCID to implement Stage 1 (voluntary) of its Drought Contingency Plan. If Stages are escalated by the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), new guidelines will be announced.
REMINDER: The deadline to submit an application for appointment to the Travis County WCID - Point Venture Board of Directors is this Friday, May 20 at 4:00 p.m. A vacancy on the Board came after the resignation of former Board President Fred Marshall. The Board hopes to fill the position at its May 26, 2022 meeting.
A pump at the District's water plant went down over the weekend resulting in the level of the storage tanks to drop. This in turn caused the loss of water pressure at some homes in the District. The pump has been repaired and the storage tanks are now being refilled. The District requests conserving water over the next several hours to allow the storage tanks to reach their full capacity.
