Dear Customers,
The emergency conserve water request for the upper plane in Point Venture has been rescinded. Inframark staff was able to trouble shoot and get one pump running. However, the system usually operates on two pumps. Customers are asked to please continue to conserve water as much as possible.
Two more pumps arrived in the District overnight. Inframark staff should have the system back to normal operation on Monday.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Respectfully,
Travis County WCID - Point Venture

Emergency - Conserve Water in Point Venture
Dear Customers,
The District is asking each home in the UPPER PRESSURE PLANE to please conserve as much water as possible effective immediately. We ask that you turn off all irrigation systems, do not run dishwashers or clothes washing machines and use water as sparingly as possible.
Two pumps on the elevated storage tank have failed and the District has no way of adding water to the storage tank until at least one pump is replaced or repaired. Inframark is making every effort to locate, receive, and connect a replacement pump.
A map of the pressure planes is attached. The BLUE area is what is affected by this event.
We thank you for your prompt attention in curtailing water during this emergency event.
Respectfully,
Travis County WCID - Point Venture

The Boil Water Notice is now rescinded. You may resume normal water use and consumption activities.
Boil Water Notice Rescinded
On November 1, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Travis County WCID Point Venture public water system, TX2270038, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions
which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that
indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of today, November 3, 2021.
If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Inframark, the operator for Travis County WCID Point Venture, at our 24-hour Customer Service Line (281) 398-8211.
November 2, 2021
Dear Customers,
Due to reduced distribution system pressure within the District, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the Travis County WCID Point Venture, TX2270038, public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g. washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.) Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.
In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking or human consumption purposes.
Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.
Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly. You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.
If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Inframark, the operator for Travis County WCID Point Venture, at our 24-hour Customer Service Line (281) 398-8211.
Respectfully,
Travis County WCID - Point Venture

Dear Customers,
BOIL WATER NOTICE STILL IN EFFECT
-Please continue to boil and cool any water you plan to consume, use to brush your teeth, or make ice.
-The boil water notice will most likely be in effect several more days.
-Once the pressure in both planes is fully maintained, water samples will be taken to a certified lab for testing.
Approximately 24 hours later, results are returned. If the sample is free of bacteria, the boil water notice will be lifted, and customers will be informed.
GOOD NEWS
-The lower pressure plane storage tank has recovered.
-The upper pressure plane started filling this morning.
-Pressure is improving in the upper plane.
-The end is in sight!
-As pressure increases, more leaks will most likely become evident at homes and in the District’s system.
-A leak on the intake pump barge was discovered after the thaw.
NOT SO GOOD NEWS
-As pressure increases, more leaks will most likely become evident at homes and in the District’s system.
-A leak on the intake pump barge was discovered after the thaw.
STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES
-Overflow from tanks at the water plant is backwash water which is created when the plants’ filters need flushing. Because both plants are operating and the output is greater, this backwash will occur more frequently.
-Part of the capital improvement project includes improving the backwash recovery process.
-Once the pressure in both planes is fully maintained, water samples will be taken to a certified lab for testing. Approximately 24 hours later, results are returned. If the sample is free of bacteria, the boil water notice will be lifted, and customers will be informed.
CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR, TURN OFF, AND REPORT LEAKS

LEAKS ARE STILL EVIDENT IN THE SYSTEM
