Point Venture Now in Stage 2 - Mandatory Drought Conditions

March 3, 2025 - Effective immediately, the water district in Point Venture is implementing Stage 2 drought measures per Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) notification received March 3rd, 2025. Residence should adjust their automatic irrigation systems for ONCE weekly use. All outdoor watering with in-ground or hose end sprinklers is now limited to one time per week. LCRA moved to Stage 2 of its Drought Contingency Plan because, on March 1, the amount of water in lakes Buchanan and Travis was below 1.1 million acre-feet, and the prior three months of inflows were less than the 25th percentile of historic inflows for that three-month period.
